Q & A

Q.  I'm a 36 year-old married mother of two.  I've been saved for a few years and I love God with
all my heart. Lately I haven't been to church services in a while because of my work and school
schedule and although I still believe in God and "feel" saved, how do I stay spiritually connected
and not lose my way?

Toni F. Big Rapids, Michigan

A.  We've all been "over-committed" at times and had to make the choice on whether to attend
a church service, go to work, the kids baseball game, or study.  It gets hard for mothers with very
busy lives to often juggle and balance every activity that we face in a day.  What I've learned is that
yes we should all attend church services regularly, but it is just as important to spend quality time
with God alone.  When I find myself burning my candle at both ends, I often find solace in the alone
time that I have with God.  I wake up earlier in the morning to pray and read my Bible.  It's a way to
start my day off peacefully before the hectic rush to work and school.  If you give God the first part of
your day, He'll guarantee you a brighter outcome of the tasks that are ahead of you.
