From time to time 31tenMagazine will feature articles written by writers just like you. We are actively working to promote ministries of all kinds.
Whether your a first time writer or a published Author, we are looking to hear from you. If you would like to submit an article for our consideration please read our Writer's Guidelines below.
Writers Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in writing for 31tenMagazine! 31tenMagazine is a Christian lifestyle magazine for the entire family.
Our main objective is spread the Word of God to people all over the world. We want to promote a closer walk with God, and maintaining a healthy body, mind, spirit and soul. At present, 31tenMagazine is exclusively online. The articles submitted to our magazine will be used solely for the online publication.
We select articles that will appeal to a global audience. These articles must be uplifting, informative and pertinent to the modern Christian family. With the exception of Life Stories, articles do not need to have specific Christian content; however, the tone and content of every story will reflect a Christian viewpoint. We believe that everyone's life is a gift from God and that a personal relationship with Him will provide them with meaning, purpose and significance.
We publish journalistic, nonfiction items only and therefore do not accept photography, cover art, or product endorsements unless sent to our Advertising Department. We welcome unpublished and first time writers.
Topics we cover:
Business & Finance - Features articles on career excellence, entrepreneurship, effective workplace building skills, advice on how to become money savvy and making wise investments.
Family- Seeks to provide women with the information they need to nurture and maintain positive, meaningful family relationships. Includes parenting, children of all ages, schooling, step-families, dealing with bereavement, home management, stress, spending quality time and the ever changing role of women in the modern household. Does not include marriage (see Relationships below).
Life Stories and Testimonies - Life Stories and Testimonies are the true autobiographical account of one’s personal encounter with Jesus Christ and the resulting positive changes in his or her life.
Relationships- Focuses on healthy relations between the sexes. Sample topics include marriage, couples, dating, singleness, online dating, marriage building, dating your spouse, mutual devotion, encouraging your spouse, dealing with stress, marital expectations and heartbreak.
Diet & Fitness - Focuses on a healthy diet featuring information on healthy foods, recipes for every occasion, exercise tips and techniques you can enjoy at home and in the gym.
Food and Recipes- We do accept recipes from time to time. If you wish to submit one please also remember to send in a color photo of the finished product. These photos can be taken by you.
Health - Explores prevention methods for the entire family and looking and feeling beautiful.
Christian Living - Explores the biblical guidelines and principles and how to apply it to everyday life.
Poetry - An invitation for poets to join us as well.
Reviewing takes approximately four to six weeks. You will only be contacted if your work has been accepted.
Specifics
Please limit your work to 250-700 words. Please be sure to include contact information such as your name, address, phone number and e-mail address on the cover sheet of your manuscript, as well as a clear photo of yourself.
All accepted articles will be accompanied by the byline and the biography specified by the author. Author bios should be one to three lines of type (approximately 50 words). A contact email and / or URL will be included if provided and deemed appropriate. 31tenMagazine reserves the right to refuse URLs that link to sites that are in conflict with the mandate of the magazine or that have inappropriate content.
Please double-space your manuscript and save it as a Word document. When submitting the manuscript please e-mail your work as an attachment to ArticleSubmissions@31tenMagazine.com. We strongly recommend that you retain a copy of your work for your records. If you have any questions about the submission of your manuscript please email our Editor, LoVetta Jenkins at Editor@31tenMagazine.com. Although you hold the rights to your body of work, we ask that you not publish submitted material on any other site for the first 30 days that your article appears in 31tenMagazine.
